If anyone wants to see more on Tashi, Gobi, Meo and Leon have a look at the Melbourne Zoo "Friends of Snow Leopards" website or the "Saving Snow Leopards" Blog. The cubs are now 10 months old and grown to be same size of mum, they are all doing very well and are a hit with zoo visitors. Cheers, Sibylle

Terri,

Yes, this photo is lovely. It reminds me of the television program I saw recently, in which the naturalist David Attenborough (you'll know him!) presented recently. His team captured some rare footage of Snow Leopards in Northern Pakistan after waiting for days without a sighting! Did you see that at the time?

I'd love to add a post on this animal sometime in the coming months.

Thanks,

Ed.

In response to: Russian Blue

Ed [Visitor]
Erinn, I stand corrected, never having owned a Russian blue myself (and only ever seen them in books). I may do some research and see if I post a truer example.

Regards.

The picture shown above is absolutely no Russian Blue! Russian Blues are elegant and gracile and not as heavy as this one. There is a difference between the American version and the British version (which I prefer and breed) of the Russian blue, but both breeders will tell you that this is in no way a Russian Blue! This looks more like a British Shorthair with a blue fur.

Hi, Thanks for your comment.

The thing is, I searched for 'Burmilla' and found an image which had no copyright attached.

As a contrast I've posted another 'Burmilla' image. Hope you like it.

Now Chokkie, you'll be giving people ideas saying things like that (last minute present indeed). I'm going to see if my in-laws will get me chipped.... I hope you dont need a pin with that as I always forget mine.. Chow Norm.
